This year, the Department of Russian language and literature celebrates its 55th anniversary. This momentous occasion was marked on December 13, 2017, first by an exhibition of literary and historical ties between Serbia and Russia curated by Aleksandra Jović. The guests were then welcomed by the Dean, prof. dr Mirjana Lončar Vujnović, and two distinguished lecturers from the Russian Department, prof. dr Mitra Reljić and prof. dr Abdulah Mušović. The programme continued with the two lectures by the professors from the Slavic Department of the University of Belgrade, Saint Sava and the Russians in the Middle Ages by doc. dr Snežana Jelesijević and The Czechs about and in Kosovo and Metohija by prof. dr Jaromir Linda. The programme closed with a selection of stage performances, the production of Chekhov’s “The Bear” prepared by the theatre company “Skomorohi”, poetry readings, and a musical piece by Jovana Nedeljković, a student of Faculty of Arts.
