On December 6, starting at 8 p.m., Department of English Language and Literature organized Game Night – an evening of social games at the Faculty of Philosophy in Kosovska Mitrovica. Game Night was intended primarily for students of English language and literature with the aim to demonstrate how students can improve their language competence in an unconventional way. Participants had the opportunity to try their hand in different kinds of social games adapted to the needs of learning English, including associations, Taboo words, Scrabble, LTAG (a card game in which knowledge of syntax is tested through the formation of grammatically correct phrases and sentences), Cards Against Humanity, Who am I?, etc. The evening passed in a positive atmosphere, and the students showed freedom and spontaneity in communication. After the Game Night, the students and teachers were full of positive impressions, which is an excellent indicator that such activities should be more frequent.
