Winners of Out Loud – Literary Recitation Competition in English in Memory of Nikola Dančetović
Faculty of Philosophy and Department of English Language and Literature organize the competition in literary recitation in English in memory of our colleague Nikola Dančetović entitled Out Loud. The basic idea of this competition to reach out to young people who appreciate English language and literature in promotion of the expressive public speaking. Since English is today the basic international language of communication, and that literature written in English is an important part of world literature, we decided to give an opportunity to all interested high school students and students of the Faculty of Philosophy to recite ‘out loud’ in a pleasant ambience of the Faculty of Philosophy and compete for an award.
This competition aims to bring young people back to reading literature, as well as to provide an opportunity for those who want to try their hand at public speaking. The competition will be held in the amphitheatre of the Faculty of Philosophy in Kosovska Mitrovica on. March 14, 2023, starting at 5 p.m. The performances of pupils and students will be evaluated by a jury consisting of lecturers from the Faculty of Philosophy and English teachers from the high schools in Kosovska Mitrovica. Cash prizes are planned for the first three places, as well as appropriate gifts in the form of books.
